I decided to reread the article by Julie Beck. I found myself liking it even more the second time. She made her statements easy to relate to and easy to distinguish. She showed that this topic of your life being a narrative was something she found important to her. Her words flowed and the examples she used fit her descriptions the way they should. I just felt like reading this again with the prior background of what she was saying made it a better read. Also her incorporating mental health was again something I found interesting. A lot of pieces I’ve read seem to try to stray away from mental health, probably because it is such a sensitive topic only because it’s not being talked about enough. How one’s mental health can affect how their life narrative will be told is such an important point that I’m so happy she decided to include. She had the perfect evidence to back it up also. Everything just flowed so beautifully and it really opened my eyes and made me think of my life stories and what my life narrative may look like. It just matched perfectly with how I picture life as a narrative. I believe life is made up of little storiesthat make it one big beautiful narrative.

Your annotations look amazing. I’m so glad that you enjoyed this essay. I have to confess that I have loved the excuse to read and reread it every semester.
