About Me

Hello! My name is Ella DiTomaso and I am currently studying at the University of New England. I am from a small town in Southern New Hampshire. I graduated from Bedford High School, in Bedford New Hampshire, in 2019. I chose the University of New England for the great academics, the beautiful campus, the kind people, and for the cold. The major I will be studying is Neuroscience, I am not on the pre-med track I will be going on the research path instead. At home I live with my parents, my older brother, and my 15 pound cat. My cat’s name is Fredo and he is a rescue, he’s the cutest thing in the world. I like to play lacrosse and I play for the women’s lacrosse team here at UNE. I have been playing lacrosse since the 4th grade and I am super happy I get to continue playing in college. Lacrosse has been a huge part of my life so I can’t wait to keep it a part of my life here at UNE. I enjoy running, being outdoors, and being social. At my high school I ran cross country and played lacrosse all four years. I grew up in a family that loves exercise and sports so being active is a big part of my life. We not only love participating in sports and physical activity but we also love watching it. We love the Patriots! Through a class I took in school I learned a lot about the brain. Due to family history also the brain became a big part of my life. I love the brain and I am so excited to go forward with my studies. I hope to one day be in a research lab and help try to find the causes of mental illness/disorders and to see what we can do to help prevent them or even cure them. It is a dream of mine to be able to find ground breaking research. I have a passion for helping people and I would love to be able to deep dive into the mysteries of the brain. I’m excited for my journey here at UNE and my journey for the future.
