Metaphors surround us, they take part in our everyday lives and they help us to understand things better. People find describing one object as another useful for getting the meaning. Metaphors don’t just survive in our everyday casual lives, they also live in our medical lives, the lives that are a little more sensitive and real. Metaphors can break us, help us, or put things into reality when we are in shock. When often diagnosed with a chronic or terminal illness, metaphors may be used to present and describe the next days, months, year, or lifetime. The physical health of a person can be affected by a metaphor, but what some people don’t know is that the mental health can also be affected by a metaphor positively or negatively.
