I use a lot of pointing words throughout my essay, I believe it helps with the structure of what I am saying. I do repeat myself a few times to get certain important points across. The two paragraphs that I use my example and someone else’s narrative I use “She” “Her” “His” and “Him” a lot.
I definitely rely a lot on the pointing word device the most out of all the devices I learned about in chapter 8. I think this is the device I am most comfortable using so I tend to lean back on it. There are so many other good devices I can use but I know that I know this one best. I think it’s engraved in my brain to use this one.
Most of my passages are pretty easy to read. They are also my own words so that makes it a little more difficult to decide. If I were to add some more devices in though, I’d definitely add some more repetitive sentences in. I feel like that could be a challenge and it should be one for me to try to take.
